To International Students

Our laboratory conducts research to elucidate various disease states at the molecular level and translate these findings into clinical applications for patients. We are particularly interested in the following four areas: 1) the development of medical technologies that utilize methods to control the plasticity of cells and tissues, 2) the elucidation of pathophysiology with a focus on the plasticity of gene expression and translation control mechanisms, 3) the development of new therapeutic approaches by focusing on the plasticity of metabolic control mechanisms, and 4) the investigation of the physiological functions and medical applications of rare sugars. However, we remain open to exploring new areas and will continue to challenge ourselves in diverse fields.

We warmly welcome international students passionate about research. While knowledge of and experience in molecular biology or biochemistry are ideal, we welcome anyone dedicated to research and eager to learn new techniques. Kagawa University provides a supportive environment and state-of-the-art facilities that allow you to focus on your research. Additionally, our laboratory is located on the medical school campus, enabling collaboration across departments. We look forward to working with you to advance medical research and improve future healthcare. We encourage you to join our laboratory.
